Hey there Pat,

As I've said before, I am no professional but I try to give the best advice I can.

While I think it's important to go with what's most comfortable, the proper grip will help with your release. Now that I think about it, your friends are probably right. Try a few holes with one grip, and a few holes with another and figure out which you grip have more control with and which gives you the most distance (without chucking the thing as far as you can).

I personally throw sidearm so I probably shouldn't be preaching the opposite throw :P I'll get out on the course and try a few things and get back to you, maybe with some videos.

Hello, I have only been playing for a month now. And I enjoy the game a lot. Although the heat in Florida is difficult. I have a question though; in one of your statements for beginners u say to hold it with the thumb and forefinger outside of the disc. The couple I have been playing with say that isn't the way. It is the way that I grew up with Frisbees so that feels more comfortable to me. Should I just stick to the comfortable way?
Also, my shots always curve to the left, I am right handed; is there a video online that I can watch to get my technique better?
I appreciate it if u can reply. I am really having fun but it would be more fun if I could do better. hahaha
Thank You,
Pat
